How we source and check
The shorter the chain between a field and your kitchen, the more anyone can vouch for what is in the jar. This is what ours looks like.
Step 1: We buy from the grower
Saffron comes straight from farming families in Pampore and Lethpora. For everything else we look for the same thing — a grower or co-operative we can name — instead of a commodity market.
Step 2: We look at every lot
Before anything is packed it is sorted by hand, checked for colour, aroma, moisture and foreign matter, and tasted. A lot that fails goes back; it does not get blended into one that passed.
Step 3: Lab tests where they matter
Shilajit is tested batch by batch at an NABL-accredited laboratory for lead, mercury, arsenic and cadmium, and the report sits on the product page.
Step 4: Packed fresh, sealed tight
We pack in small runs in Lethpora and vacuum-seal what benefits from it, so it reaches you as close to the harvest as we can manage.
What we promise
- Bought directly from the people who grow it
- No added preservatives, colours or flavourings
- Sorted and checked by hand before packing
- Refund or replacement if quality is not what we said
What we don't claim
- The official Kashmir Saffron GI logo — that belongs to registered authorised users, and we are not one
- Medical benefits — everything we sell is food, not medicine
Check our saffron yourself
You don't need to take our word for it. Drop a few strands into a glass of warm water or milk. Real saffron releases its colour slowly over several minutes, turning the liquid golden-yellow, and the strands stay whole. Dyed or fake saffron bleeds deep red almost at once.
If a batch from us ever fails that test — or a lab report of your own says otherwise — tell us and we will refund or replace it. No argument.
Want to know more?
Ask us where a particular product came from and we will tell you. For bulk, gifting or trade enquiries we can share more detail on a specific lot.
